Being comfortable with your wedding photographer is very important. Ideally, I try to meet all of my couples a few times before their day. Once as a get to know you before booking, again for the engagement shoot, and finally a month or so before the wedding to discuss timeline and details.

Delivery time for portrait sessions is under 2 weeks, and for weddings under 6 weeks. If you do need a few specific images sooner, please just ask as I am usually able to accommodate. If you would like full delivery within 5 days, you can order a rush on any of my packages for a fee of $400.

There are so many factors that influence the answer to this question, it’s hard to put an exact number on it. A good estimate is 40-60 images per hour of coverage.

I will often post a small sneak peek online shortly after your wedding or session. You are free to share those if you want something immediately. Full delivery comes in the form of an online gallery, which will remain online for 12 months.

Wedding days can be hectic, and most of the time carving out an extra few hours to hike up a mountain for that one epic sunset shot isn’t in the cards. Enter the adventure session. I want to take these photographs as much as you want to be in them, so I offer adventure sessions included with select packages as a way of making this happen. We pick a date, you put your dress (and suit!) back on, and we head into the mountains to make something cool.

As soon as possible. Right now. Call me. 587-222-9676.

Usually I get booked 12-18 months in advance. However, I take care to not over book, so if you are on a shorter timeline, please feel free to reach out! I will often put together special packages for last minute or unique weddings.

I ask for 50% as retainer to book your date. The remaining 50% is due a month prior to your wedding. Payment plans can also be arranged.

I “process” all of the photographs you will receive before delivering them to you. This involves colour correction, adjustments for exposure and contrast, and other techniques to balance the image. This is what makes my photos look the way they do. I sometimes “edit” or “retouch” photos, and this can be for a variety of reasons. While I always aim to deliver images that are true to what the scene was, things like distracting background elements or minor unwanted skin blemishes will get removed, especially in highlight reel photos. I avoid overly “photoshopping” skin, or altering body sizes since we believe everyone is beautiful just the way they are!

Yes! Not on all of your images, but I will select ones that merit conversion and you will find them sprinkled throughout your album. If you have any specific requests, just let us know and we will work to make that happen.

No, I believe watermarks distract from the story the photo is trying to tell. You will occasionally see watermarked images pop up on my social media, but you will receive all of your images in full resolution and devoid of any branding. It’s your wedding, not mine.

Yes! We love seeing our images on walls. You have a few options for printing. You can order directly from the online gallery; it functions like any other online storefront, and then prints show up right at your door! I encourage you to reach out for larger print orders, as I can can often offer package pricing. You are also free to download your images in hi-resolution and get them printed yourself.

While we do keep our files for an indeterminate length of time, we do not guarantee archiving photos beyond one year from your event date. We strongly suggest you store your photos yourself on one of many free and readily available online storage solutions (ie, Dropbox or Onedrive). If you need help with this I am happy to assist.

No. Simply put, you don’t want all of them. Shots that are out of focus, poorly exposed/composed, or duplicates, are deleted. After that, everything viable that I deem relevant and reasonably flattering gets delivered. I’m not holding anything back.

I don’t normally deliver RAW files. Unless you know what you’re doing with them, I promise that as cool as the name sounds, you don’t actually want them. If you do know what you’re doing with them, talk to me, and I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out.

No problem! I fully respect your privacy. I try to avoid posting anything that is too intimate. If you are worried, please express this to me, and we will be happy to accomodate.

We shoot with top of the line Sony cameras and premium lenses. The majority of our shooting is done with prime lenses. I am always happy to talk gear or technique if you want to know more.

I try to shoot with natural light when I can. There are a variety of reasons for this, but mainly that we find natural light creates more natural images. However we always carry speedlites so that we are able to photograph any situation. We often use flash during receptions.

There have been very few occasions in my life where I have been sick or otherwise incapacitated to the point of not being able to work. On the off chance that something does happen, you will be informed immediately, and will have two choices. Either I arrange for another photographer to carry out the duties that you contracted Worn Leather Media for, or you receive an immediate and complete refund.
